This is the second day of the 2-day North Coast Community Event. Register separately for one day or both days. Any second registration or more of an In-Person Event will receive a discount.
This registration is for Day 2, March 24, which will begin at the Yurok Country Visitor Center with multiple talks from Tribal leaders on the connections between State & National Parks, and various projects vital to the North Coast. Caravan up the coast through Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Then hike to the Grove of Titans to marvel at the immense size of the Coast Redwoods. Presentations will immerse you in the beauty of the flora & fauna of the area, as well as the connections between the tribal communities and the Nat’l & State Parks. Attendees can head back home or travel farther north to Crescent City for dinner and a night at any of the hotels along the scenic harbor. Both days of events will provide you with techniques that will inspire you on your own interpretive journey.
Lunch is provided. Dress warmly, raingear, waterproof boots & binoculars are recommended.

Description: Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is the home to some of the most majestic ancient redwoods alive today, known as the Grove of Titans. Traverse through these giants along a boardwalk to protect their roots and marvel at their splendor. Hear from multiple speakers about how the redwoods are being protected today and the plans for the future. Gain insight into how the relations between the different agencies can help you to apply this knowledge to your own community.
