Relaxed. Refreshed. Energized. Fired up for change. All things Interpreters want to be!
NAI Sierra Pacific Region is hoping to bring some relaxation, refreshment and energy to our members at our 2020 Region Workshop. This year’s workshop is in the beautiful Marin Headlands at NatureBridge Golden Gate, housed in a historic WWII bunker complex, right next to a striking dark sand beach and a kaleidoscopic coastal prairie teeming with life. Art, history, nature and culture abound in the Marin Headlands! Right up the street are historic WWII era forts, an arts center, miles of hiking trails, sandy beaches, and even the famous Marine Mammal Center. Also, the location is right over the Golden Gate Bridge, making it close to all that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer.
Not only is the location a treat, rooms and meals are also included as part of your workshop price, making it a one-stop package for everything you need! NatureBridge Golden Gate offers hostel-like accommodations for a sense of community, and their delicious meals are well known amongst groups who attend. NatureBridge works with dietary needs when requested and aims for locally sourced, natural foods. Everything in one deal, which can’t be beat!
This year’s theme is “Turning the Tides through Interpretation”, a nod to our beautiful workshop location, but also a call for changes at our sites and in the world. We are looking to obtain an invigorating group of breakout sessions from you and your fellow interpreters, bringing in an inspiring keynote speaker, and providing fun and enriching field trips for our Friday field trips.
Join us at this exciting site for a workshop that is not to be missed! If you need assistance with requesting travel time or training time off from managers, please feel free to reach out to us for tips. We hope to see you there!
